Sanctuary access & Tours
As a guest of The Gray Barn, you have unlimited access to the Sanctuary's grounds throughout your stay. Though you are not allowed to open gates or enter any enclosure without a staff member, many of the residents will greet you at the fence for scratches and love. See 'Rules & Safety Tips' below for more information.
Guided tours of Woodstock Farm Sanctuary are available every week for guests staying at The Gray Barn. We will email you the week of your stay with available tour times for you to join.
If our available tour times do not align with your stay, you are welcome to join a tour before you check in or after you check out. All guests are permitted to walk the grounds of the Sanctuary during their stay.

Rules & Safety
- Smoking is prohibited in all parts of the inn and on sanctuary grounds, including the deck and terraces; guests who violate the smoking policy will be assessed a $500 cleaning fee. If you wish to smoke, please do so at least 50 feet from any building entrances or exits, and please dispose of cigarette butts or trash safely in the proper receptacle.
- Please do not open gates or enter any enclosures/pastures. You'll have lots of time to interact with the residents inside their enclosures during the private tour or public tours guided by a staff person. Remember to always wear your Gray Barn Guest lanyard while walking around the property.
- For their safety, please never feed any animals or carry glass or ceramic cups near their enclosures.
- Please also be mindful that during the day and into the evening hours, our caregivers are helping our residents and are usually too busy with animal care to stop and answer questions. We’ll be happy to answer any questions and share animal stories during your guided tour.
